Gearing up for peer recognition, networking, and education
by Jaclyn Fitzgerald, CHRI
NAHRI is gearing up for its 2021 initiatives and looking forward to a year filled with education and networking.
As always, we will be celebrating Revenue Integrity Week and are excited to announce this year’s theme is Discover the Revenue Integrity Universe. Our journey into revenue integrity exploration is slated for June 7–11, so get your spacecraft fueled up now.
Revenue Integrity Week is a time to:
Recognize the unique and valuable contributions of revenue integrity professionals in the healthcare setting
Increase public awareness of the revenue integrity profession
Celebrate the diligence and dedication of revenue integrity professionals
Throughout Revenue Integrity Week, NAHRI will release new resources to help revenue integrity professionals excel in their roles and elevate their profession. This includes our annual State of the Revenue Integrity Industry Survey Report, free educational webinars, and activities aimed at enhancing networking, professional development, and team building. We also offer daily discounts on books, webinars, and other educational offerings—be on the lookout for these special offers as we get closer to our celebration.
As we ready our 2021 Revenue Integrity Week plans, be sure to take a look back on resources we provided in years past—our 2020 Industry Survey Report is a great starting point—and consider how your team would like to acknowledge the impact of revenue integrity professionals this year.
Here are a few recommendations:
- Plan a socially distanced celebration around this year’s theme. Encourage team members to don their favorite space-themed attire as they prepare to set off into the stars.
- Spruce up your office and print out a Revenue Integrity Week poster to display your professional pride. Our forthcoming toolkit will offer logos you can use on your social media accounts as you celebrate Revenue Integrity Week.
- Send virtual thank-you cards to your team and other colleagues who work closely with you.
- Ask your team members to submit photos of themselves with a brief bio and a few personal facts. Create a PowerPoint® or email and share it systemwide.
- Ask each team member to send in a few unknown facts about themselves. Compile them into a list and ask the team to use their Revenue Integrity Explorer skills to match the facts with the person.
- Use our forthcoming NAHRI crossword puzzle and word search to run a friendly competition among your department and colleagues from other departments. Whoever finishes the quickest and gets the most answers correct can be awarded a prize—or bragging rights!
- Make sure your colleagues receive the accolades they deserve and nominate them as part of NAHRI’s Peer Recognition Program. NAHRI will distribute certificates of recognition to all who are nominated, plus enter all nominees—and nominators—into a drawing. The winners will be announced during Revenue Integrity Week.
- Participate in NAHRI’s Twitter Trivia. Every day during Revenue Integrity Week at 12 p.m. Eastern, we will post a revenue integrity trivia question on NAHRI’s Twitter account (@NAHRI_org). The first person to respond correctly each day will be entered into a drawing to win their choice of a free on-demand webinar or a free one-year NAHRI membership. The winner will be announced on our Twitter account June 11 at 1 p.m. Eastern. Don’t forget to share stories, photos, or screenshots of your celebration with NAHRI through our social media channels.
Additional resources and networking suggestions will be announced as we ready ourselves for orbit around the revenue integrity universe.
CAH and RHC education
While you wait for Revenue Integrity Week to launch, be sure to explore our other offerings, including the Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinics Reimbursement Virtual Symposium to be held virtually April 27–28.
Critical access hospitals (CAH) and rural health clinics (RHC) face a variety of unique challenges, many of which have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and public health emergency. Specific Medicare coding and billing requirements, a typically older and sicker patient population, and staffing shortages can make accurate documentation and reimbursement difficult even in the best of times.
The Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinics Reimbursement Virtual Symposium will allow CAH and RHC teams the opportunity to learn the latest strategies for managing Medicare policies without leaving the office. Experts will cover topics including emergency department documentation and billing, how to receive proper reimbursement for telehealth services, and quality/HCC reporting, and the event will feature live Q&As where you can get feedback on your most pressing questions.
During the Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinics Reimbursement Virtual Symposium, you can earn valuable CEUs and ask questions of our expert speakers. Plus, you can network with your colleagues and peers through our easy-to-use conference platform!
Attendees of this one-of-a-kind event will have the opportunity to either listen live to the programs during the event, or play the sessions at a later date that works for their schedule: Registrants have access to all educational sessions for 60 days. Review the agenda and register today.
Sincerely,
