Q: In what ways does your session challenge attendees to think outside the box?
Martin: Our session will highlight case studies and practical strategies to effectively address charge lag and late charge issues. We will also explore why timely charge entry is critical and how it impacts key areas such as rebilling costs, rework, and the reduction of accounts receivable days.
Q: What’s the biggest challenge in revenue integrity and/or revenue cycle right now? How does your session help tackle this?
Martin: The most significant challenge in revenue integrity today is denials; however, ensuring timely and accurate charge capture, particularly addressing late charges and charge lag, is a close second.
Q: What’s one of the key pieces of information you would like people to take away from your session?
Martin: The ability to consistently adopt, implement, and reconcile charges daily in partnership with clinical operations across all departments.
Q: What’s a great piece of advice you've received regarding revenue integrity and/or revenue cycle? Or what advice do you like to give people about revenue integrity and/or revenue cycle?
Duffie: The healthcare revenue cycle management market is experiencing significant growth, driven by the increasing need for technology solutions that reduce administrative burden and enhance financial performance. Revenue integrity, in particular, is seeing rapid expansion, with growing focus on the middle revenue cycle.
Martin: The best advice I can give regarding the revenue cycle is to adopt an explore and grow mentality. We must be proactive in anticipating industry shifts rather than just reacting to them. By encouraging our teams to step outside their normal routines and try new, innovative approaches, we can significantly reduce manual processes. Ultimately, when we streamline the business side of healthcare, we directly enhance the patient experience and their overall outcomes.
