How to improve your revenue integrity program

Q: In what ways does your session challenge revenue integrity professionals to think outside the box?

Kung: This session will allow individuals to evaluate existing structures within the organization by looking at best practices and determine if their team is operating most effectively.

Q: What’s the biggest challenge in revenue integrity right now? How does your session help tackle this?

Kung: The session will provide clarity on roles and responsibilities and how to best support clinical/department colleagues and revenue cycle/finance. The session will assist by providing guidance on how to start the conversation about establishing a common vision, definitions in key functions, and other considerations. Additionally, building consensus with other stakeholders and evaluating organizational setup and need will be discussed.

Q: What’s one of the key pieces of information you would like people to take away from your session?

Kung: Importance of having a clear identity and vision for their department. And with hard work and collaboration, that it is possible!

Q: What are you most excited about for this year’s topic? Or, what are you most excited about for this year’s conference?

Kung: Being able to network with other organizations and learn best practices.

Q: What's a great piece of advice you've received regarding revenue integrity? Or, what advice do you like to give people about revenue integrity?

Kung: That revenue integrity is an evolving, dynamic function and department within the healthcare revenue cycle.
