Get involved and expand your network: Apply to a NAHRI board or committee

Wednesday, July 2, 2025

NAHRI is now accepting applications to the NAHRI Advisory Board and two NAHRI committees: the Networking and Events Committee and the Education Committee. The application period is open now through Monday, August 4. Applicants selected to serve on the NAHRI Advisory Board or a committee will begin their terms October 1, 2025.

The NAHRI Advisory Board provides leadership and an industry voice for NAHRI members. Advisory Board members work closely with NAHRI administration on a variety of projects and offer continual feedback and expertise on the educational and professional development needs of revenue integrity professionals. Essential responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and discuss key public policy issues that affect revenue integrity professionals.
  • Contribute to meeting dialog by providing feedback and recommendations to fellow Advisory Board members.
  • Provide insight into current industry needs and evaluate the impact of federal regulations, payer policies, and other technical and regulatory issues.
  • Join fellow Advisory Board members and NAHRI leadership on conference calls to discuss ongoing projects and potential opportunities. At minimum, calls will be held on a quarterly basis.
  • Contribute to the quarterly NAHRI Journal on a rotating basis with their fellow Advisory Board members.
  • Contribute to the NAHRI Resource Library and other educational projects.
  • Present on NAHRI Quarterly Calls on a rotating basis with their fellow Advisory Board members.
  • Contribute to other Advisory Board efforts as interest, expertise, and availability permit.

The NAHRI Advisory Board meets at least quarterly and meetings are held during typical office hours. Applicants should be able to commit to attending and participating in a majority of meetings, so they should obtain the permission of their direct manager and/or organization before applying. Board members may also have responsibilities, such as creating or reviewing resources, that may be completed outside of typical office hours. Before applying, read the NAHRI Advisory Board SOW to learn more about the Board’s responsibilities as well as benefits of Board membership.

You must be a NAHRI member to serve on the Advisory Board. To complete the application, you will need to have the following information prepared:

  • Your professional bio and headshot
  • Contact information of two professional references
  • Three reasons why would like to serve on the board
  • A brief statement on a current issue impacting revenue integrity and how you believe the board could help address it
  • A brief statement on where you see the revenue integrity profession in five years and how you would leverage your position on the board to assist in the professional development of NAHRI members to meet these changes

The Networking and Events Committee works with NAHRI administration to identify education needs, assess proposals to speak at NAHRI’s annual conference, the Revenue Integrity Symposium (RIS), and review speaking submissions to align RIS with the association’s core mission, the needs of its membership, and the evolving needs of the revenue integrity industry. This committee also provides support to the annual Revenue Integrity Week (to be held June 1-5, 2026), as well as other events and peer networking opportunities throughout the year. Applicants should have attended RIS in the past and be able to travel to 2026 RIS (dates and location TBD).

The Education Committee will be focused on tasks related to the upcoming NAHRI Scholarship program. This committee will be responsible for maintaining and updating NAHRI Scholarship criteria and the application process, selecting scholarship recipients from the pool of applicants, and promoting continued education among NAHRI members and the broader revenue integrity community.

You must be a NAHRI member to serve on a NAHRI committee.

You may apply to either committee through our online application. Please have a copy of your professional bio available to upload with your application. You will also need a brief statement explaining why you would like to serve on the committee.

Both committees will have required meetings during typical office hours, so applicants should obtain the permission of their direct manager and/or organization before applying. Committee members will also have responsibilities, such as reviewing speaker or scholarship applications, that may be completed outside of typical office hours. Before applying, read the Networking and Events Committee SOW and the Education Committee SOW.

Participating in a NAHRI board or committee is an excellent way to grow your professional network and make a tangible difference in the revenue integrity industry and your career.
