Next Steps in Denials: Collaborative Solutions, Proactive Moves
Hospitals are reinventing their approach to denials to meet today’s challenges—and get ahead of future shifts in payer tactics. They know that the payer landscape has undergone a tremendous shift in recent years, with Medicare Advantage (MA) overtaking traditional Medicare in many markets and new methods of data analytics leading to a higher volume of increasingly complex denials. Revenue integrity programs are matching those strategies with their own data-informed practices and cross-functional approaches. They’re looking ahead and leading hospitals’ evolution to denials strategies that focus on prevention.
To learn more about how revenue integrity leaders are managing denials challenges, the NAHRI Leadership Council conducted the 2025 survey on denials management and prevention. The research, sponsored by Solventum (formerly 3M Health Care), analyzes the costs of addressing denials, effective denials prevention strategies, revenue integrity’s role in preventing and managing denials, key metrics for measuring the success of denials prevention and
management efforts, and more.
