Note from the speaker: Living revenue integrity every day

NAHRI’s 2018 Revenue Integrity Symposium is where the policy meets the practical. The speakers and other attendees are “living” revenue integrity daily and have tremendous value to share, and it is great to realize you have others with the same passion in their work. The event will be held October 16–17 at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park (Phoenix), Arizona.

I’ve spoken at and attended this event numerous time, and I always learn from the other expert speakers. I think the “Next Generation Technologies: Practical Guidance for Success” presented on day two at 8 a.m. by Jugna Shah, MPH, and John Settlemyer, MBA, MHA, CPC, will be an important one to attend. This session will walk providers through coding, charging and billing strategies as well as Medicare's rules/citations on appropriate charging practices which impact the outlier and new tech add-on payment.

I’ll be presenting two sessions myself, one of which is on the new outpatient laboratory date of service (DOS) exception and begins at 3:45 p.m. on day two. The new exception to the lab DOS policy seems to be very complicated to implement and some labs are saying it is optional. U look forward to breaking this down for attendees.

In addition to the networking and educational opportunities, I think the venue itself looks fabulous. I look forward to seeing you there!
