How to advance your career and grow your earning power
Earning some type of college or university degree may be the best path toward career advancement and higher salary, according to the preliminary results of the NAHRI’s 2025 Revenue Integrity Salary Survey. The survey, which closes Monday, July 7, collects a range of data on revenue integrity professionals’ salaries, professional backgrounds, organization types, job titles, and more to provide a comprehensive and actionable picture of salary trends and career advancement opportunities. Take the survey here.
Based on the preliminary results, 77% of respondents hold some type of college or university degree (associate’s degree or higher), while 23% have completed only high school or some type of post-secondary (post-high school) certificate program. Of those who hold a college or university degree, 13% earn $80,000-$89,999 a year and 12% earn $100,000-$109,999 a year. Of those who have completed only high school or a post-secondary (post-high school) certificate program, 28% earn $60,000-$69,999 a year and 19% earn $70,000-$79,999 a year. Ninety percent of managers with direct reports hold a college or university degree. Managers with direct reports are more likely to be among the highest salary brackets: 13% earn $170,000-$179,999 a year. In contrast, 21% of individual contributors earn $60,000-$69,999 a year. Of respondents who have only completed high school or a post-secondary certificate program, 72% are individual contributors.
