Preliminary survey results tie higher salary to revenue integrity-specific job titles
Professionals working in revenue integrity who hold revenue integrity-specific job titles are more likely to earn a higher salary, according to the preliminary results of NAHRI’s 2026 Revenue Integrity Salary Survey. The survey, which is open through June 30, collects data on trends in salary, benefits, professional growth, program management, and job satisfaction for professionals working in revenue integrity.
Although many organizations have some type of revenue integrity program, that doesn’t mean that everyone supporting revenue integrity has a job title that specifies that. CDI, revenue cycle, coding, and HIM professionals all may have revenue integrity responsibilities.
According to the preliminary survey results, among individuals who hold a revenue integrity-specific job title, such as revenue integrity director, manager, or specialist, the largest segment (10%) earns $130,000-$139,999 annually. In comparison, among respondents who do not hold a revenue integrity-specific job title, such as CDI professionals, coding professionals, or HIM professionals (including directors, managers, and specialists), the largest segment (14%) earns $100,000-$109,999 annually.
Professionals who work in revenue integrity should track how much of their time and work load is primarily dedicated to revenue integrity. If your revenue integrity responsibilities are not reflected in your job description or title, consider discussing it with your manager or leaders and consider how to build a case to have your contributions more formally recognized.
The 2026 Revenue Integrity Salary Survey is still open, so these could change. If you have not yet completed the survey, consider doing so as your contributions will help create actionable insights and resources for you and your peers (click here to complete the survey). Survey responses are reported in aggregate and remain anonymous.
The full results will be released later this year in a report and webinar. Take the survey today and help shape the direction of your profession!
